Measuring and Reducing Adult Recidivism

Corrections officials and policymakers are increasingly recognizing the need to define and consistently track recidivism rates and to gauge progress on reducing those numbers using realistic goals. State corrections directors, criminal justice researchers and practitioners, and Second Chance Act grantees discuss the important role of strategic partnerships between local reentry organizations and correctional officials in accomplishing statewide recidivism-reduction goals, and how these partnerships are working well in their states and localities.
