Working with Probation and Parole

The relationship between community supervision officers and service providers is vital to individuals’ successful reentry. Correctional and service agencies’ support—through coordinated policies, protocols, and systems—can facilitate understanding of one another’s roles, data and information sharing, and enhanced communications. Effective collaboration also can help fill the gaps in services and supervision that are needed to increase positive outcomes. Presenters focussed on how to build successful working relationships between probation and parole officers and local service providers.
