NIJ’s Multisite Evaluation of Prosecutor-Led Diversion Programs: Strategies, Impacts, and Cost-Effectiveness

NIJThis grant report from the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) is one of two reports based on a multisite evaluation of prosecutor-led diversion programs awarded to the Center for Court Innovation, in collaboration with the RAND Corporation and the Association of Prosecuting Attorneys. The report summarizes findings from a study of 16 prosecutor-led diversion programs. Researchers found reductions in convictions, jail sentences, and rearrests for up to 24 months in three programs.
