Hosted by the National Association of Counties
In the four years since launching the Stepping Up Initiative, more than 475 counties have joined the national campaign to reduce mental illness in jails. Key to these efforts is having an effective process in place to accurately identify and collect data on individuals with mental illnesses that enter county jails. Counties can use this information to better connect people to treatment and services, make data-driven decisions to identify gaps in services and supports, and more efficiently use resources. In this webinar, learn about the three steps counties can take to accomplish this and the different ways counties are implementing these steps.
