The U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) is accepting applications for the FY 2019 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program. The primary provider of federal criminal justice funding to states and units of local government, the JAG Program provides funds to eligible units of local government that may be used to provide additional personnel, equipment, supplies, contractual support, training, technical assistance, and information systems for various criminal justice initiatives.
This can include for any one or more of the following: law enforcement programs; prosecution and court programs; prevention and education programs; corrections and community corrections programs; substance addiction treatment programs; crime victim programs; and mental health programs, in addition to related law enforcement and corrections programs.
