Open Society Foundations is seeking applications for its Soros Justice Fellowships. Prospective fellows can apply for funding through the advocacy, media, or youth activist fellowship. Grants of up to $120,000 will be awarded to outstanding individuals to undertake projects that advance reform, spur debate, and catalyze change on a range of issues facing the U.S. criminal justice system. The fellowships are part of a larger effort within the Open Society Foundations to challenge the over-reliance on incarceration and extreme punishment as well as to ensure a fair and accountable system of justice.
The solicitation provides further details about the program. Applications are due by Monday, October 22.
