The U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance is seeking applications for the Second Chance Act Pay for Success Initiative: Outcomes-Based Contracting to Lower Recidivism and Homelessness. With two categories focusing on (1) reentry services and (2) permanent supportive housing (PSH) programs, this grant program will assist local, state, and tribal governments in converting reentry and PSH service contracts into outcomes-based contracts to ensure accountability and improve performance. The 54-month project period includes up to 12 months of initiating contracts and planning, followed by 36 months of implementation activities and 6 months of validating outcomes and developing a final report.
