The program provides funding for providers to deliver training and technical assistance to tribal, state and local criminal justice and substance addiction treatment agencies nationwide, prescription drug monitoring programs, and their partner agencies in sites selected through the Comprehensive Opioid Abuse Site-based Program solicitation.
The purpose of this program is to allow first responders and members of other key community sectors to administer a drug or device approved or cleared under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act for emergency treatment of known or suspected opioid overdose.
The RSAT program assists states and local governments in the development and implementation of substance addiction treatment programs in state, local, and tribal correctional and detention facilities.
This course will focus on the neurology of addiction and will offer practical solutions for judges to manage all case types affected by drug addiction so they can find ways to effectively deal with these issues to help reduce recidivism.
