Improving Youth Interactions Through Fair and Impartial Justice Training

ncjtc logoThe National Criminal Justice Training Center of Fox Valley Technical College will host a training tailored through the identification of merging local youth and justice data and local alternative intervention and prevention initiatives with national efforts to improve youth interactions with the justice system. It focuses on understanding the history of disproportionality and disparity and its impact today, relevant alternatives, cultural competencies, youth development, the effect of trauma on youth, and the role of the justice system and the community in improving youth-justice interactions. Law enforcement, juvenile justice, courts, and corrections personnel as well as community-based organizations are encouraged to attend.
