The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention recently released the FY2014 Second Chance Act (SCA) Comprehensive Juvenile Reentry Systems Reform Planning Program solicitation. This new grant program provides a unique opportunity for state or local juvenile justice agencies to develop comprehensive, evidence-based plans to reform their juvenile reentry systems, reduce recidivism rates, and improve outcomes for youth. Grantees receive 12-month planning grants of up to $100,000 and intensive technical assistance from the National Reentry Resource Center. Upon completion of the planning phase, grantees are eligible to apply for $1–2 million grants to implement their systems reform plans. To download the solicitation, click here.
