
The bipartisan Washington State Justice Reinvestment Taskforce voted on December 5 to adopt a set of policy options developed to address issues in the state’s criminal justice system.
The package of policy options, generated with assistance from the Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center, would aim to reduce property crime, to increase accountability of individuals convicted of criminal offenses through supervision and treatment, and to reduce recidivism.
