Reentry Technical Assistance Tools
Reentry Technical Assistance Tools
The CSG Justice Center provided on- and off-site training and technical assistance (TTA) to government agencies and nonprofit organizations that were selected to receive grants under the provisions of the Second Chance Act. Resource Center staff worked with each grantee to develop an assessment of the project, understand its goals and objectives, and identify areas where TTA can be of most use to the project team.
Based on this assessment, CSG Justice Center staff worked with each grantee team to design an individual technical assistance plan for each project that reflected the particular goals and objectives identified in the assessment process. As part of the TTA services, CSG Justice Center staff provided grantees with publications, distance learning sessions, and opportunities to connect with experts and practitioners in a wide variety of fields working on reentry, as well as with peers engaged in similar reentry work.
Technical assistance was tailored to each grantee and reflected each jurisdiction’s unique characteristics and resources. CSG Justice Center staff worked closely with each grantee to ensure the applicability and relevance of the assistance.
