Andrea Taatjes

Andrea Taatjes provides technical assistance to grantees focused on substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, and mental illness, strengthening collaboration between state and local agencies. She is a licensed mental health counselor with extensive experience working at the intersection of behavioral health and the criminal justice system. Most recently, she served as the mental health court coordinator in Nashua, New Hampshire, where she oversaw two district mental health courts. Andrea coordinated services for people with serious mental illness and co-occurring behavioral health needs in the criminal justice system, working with courts, law enforcement, treatment providers, and others to promote collaboration and ensure participants had access to appropriate care. Andrea earned her BA in psychology from the University of New England and her master’s degree in forensic and counseling psychology from William James College.
