Evan Douglas provides technical assistance to Justice and Mental Health Collaboration Program grantees and Law Enforcement-Mental Health Learning Sites. Previously, Evan worked with the Policing Project at NYU Law School. In his role as the public safety innovations manager, Evan spearheaded the development of the SAJE Policing Assessment Tool and The Reimagining Public Safety Initiative. Before entering the public safety policy sector, Evan was a police officer with the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, DC. During his tenure, he served the Ward 8 community of the nation’s capital and had the opportunity to implement evidence-based crime prevention strategies through the Police for Tomorrow Fellowship at Georgetown Law Center. Evan earned his BA in criminal justice with a minor in psychology from Temple University and his MA in criminology from George Washington University.
