Dr. Ravon Alford guides reentry initiatives, develops knowledge-sharing products, and supports Reentry 2030 to improve reentry systems. Dr. Alford has nearly 10 years of experience working with some of the nation’s most crime-stricken cities (Flint, Memphis, St. Louis, and Detroit), assisting in crime analysis, violence prevention, policy, and unsheltered/mental health initiatives. Dr. Alford has a BA in psychology from the University of Michigan—Ann Arbor, a MS in criminal justice from Michigan State University, and a PhD in education with criminal justice and public administration from Southern Illinois University—Carbondale.
