Justice Reinvestment in Missouri: First Presentation
The first presentation to the Missouri State Justice Reinvestment Task Force introduces the justice reinvestment process and explains how it prioritizes public safety. The presentation also provides an overview of criminal justice trends in Missouri, including high incarceration rates, a growing prison population, high crime rates, increasing prison admissions, and significant behavioral health needs among people supervised in the community.
On April 6, 2023, the New Hampshire Governor’s Advisory Commission on Mental Illness and the Corrections System met to review final data analysis and policy recommendations presented by staff from the CSG Justice Center as part of the state’s Justice Reinvestment Initiative (JRI).
