How Structural Racism, Disproportionate Incarceration, and COVID-19 are Affecting the Health of Communities of Color

COVID-19 has magnified the impact that structural racism and disproportionate incarceration have had on the health of communities of color. The conversation aims to provide important historical context about the relationship between racism, incarceration, and heath outcomes to inform policy makers who are seeking to make policy changes that improve the health and wellbeing of their communities. This is the first discussion in a three-part series, Confronting Compounding Crises in the Justice System, co-presented by The Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center and CSG East Council on Communities of Color.
