Experts Consider Developmentally Appropriate Responses to Young Adults in the Justice System at Harvard Meeting
In partnership with the Harvard Kennedy School’s Program in Criminal Justice Policy and Management, the CSG Justice Center convened in late February a meeting of researchers, policymakers, and criminal and juvenile justice agency leaders, who engaged in discussion about translating developmental research into practice in order to improve outcomes for young adults in the justice system. Participants included leaders from Roca and UTEC, two Second Chance Act grantees that provide services to this population and have been lauded for their innovative programming by the National Institute of Justice’s Environmental Scan of Developmentally Appropriate Criminal Justice Responses to Justice-Involved Young Adults.
