Responding to the 2022 Solicitation for Second Chance Act Pay for Success Initiative

In this webinar, representatives from the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and The Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center will review the BJA FY22 Pay for Success Initiative Solicitation application process. This grant program will provide an anticipated 6 awards in the amount of $1,000,000 each to county governments, federally recognized tribal governments, public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities, state governments, and more for a 54-month project. The program will support performance-based and outcomes-based programming that ties payment for services to reaching agreed-upon goals. Under this initiative, services that may be purchased include permanent supportive housing, as well as other types of reentry services that are tailored to individuals leaving incarceration, particularly those with substance use disorders.
