Emily Torres works on the Justice Counts initiative as a part of the data team, where she assists with onboarding agencies and implementing Justice Counts. Previously, Emily was the center coordinator for the Center for Justice Research & Policy at the University of South Florida. In that role, she worked with local agencies and university staff to coordinate and drive research projects on reentry services, alternative crisis response, and risk protection orders. She also worked as a corrections officer with the Florida Department of Corrections. Emily earned her BS in criminology from the University of South Florida and her MS in criminology from Florida State University.
