
Alabama is taking action to achieve its Reentry 2030 goals and positioning itself as a leader in reentry.
Earlier this month:
- Governor Kay Ivey signed SB138, a bipartisan workforce law to remove employment barriers for people with criminal records.
- The Reentry Alabama Commission released a strategic action plan based on recommendations from the CSG Justice Center and focused on reducing recidivism and improving coordination across agencies.
- SJR80 established a new statewide task force to lead implementation of the law and plan, with continued support from the CSG Justice Center.
