A Trauma-Informed Effective Reinforcement System for Girls

This webinar reviews the framework of the Trauma-Informed Effective Reinforcement System (TIER) for Girls, a female responsive, research-based model that offers an effective alternative to compliance-focused behavior management systems for short-term detention and residential programs. The TIER System for Girls aims to teach staff skills that are more effective in motivating positive behavior with girls than traditional points and level systems. In addition to providing information about the TIER framework, this webinar also provides examples of processes and techniques that can help establish a gender responsive, trauma-informed program culture.
