Fair Chance Licensing: Regulatory Successes and Perspectives
Hosted by The Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center and Arnold Ventures
Over the past several years, states across the country have enacted a range of laws aimed at expanding access to occupational and professional licenses for workers with criminal histories while continuing to protect public safety. But how do those policies translate into increased opportunity for individual workers on the ground? That is the challenge taken up by the many regulators—licensing boards and state agencies and officials—who are tasked with implementing these policies and ensuring their success. This webinar will examine fair chance licensing policies from their perspective. Join us as we talk with licensing officials about the successes and challenges they have experienced while working to translate fair chance policies into opportunities and how their innovative practices and initiatives are driving the field forward.
