Responding to the FY 2024 Connect and Protect (C & P) Solicitation

In this webinar, representatives from the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs’ Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and The Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center will review the FY 2024 Connect and Protect (C & P) program application process. This grant program provides an anticipated 19 awards in the amount of $550,000 each to city or township governments, county governments, federally recognized Native American Tribal governments, public and state-controlled institutions of higher education, state governments, and mental health agencies for a 36-month project. The C & P program supports law enforcement-behavioral health cross-system collaboration to plan, implement, or expand response initiatives that target preliminarily qualified people who have come into contact with law enforcement, who have mental health disorders, co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, and intellectual and developmental disabilities and promotes improved public health and public safety.
