Hosted by The Council of State Governments Justice Center and supported by the Joyce Foundation

Join the CSG Justice Center for a facilitated panel discussion highlighting the efforts that Expanding First Response Commission members have been taking to enact community responder programs through collaborative efforts. Many of these successful efforts will be part of the Expanding First Response Commission’s upcoming report.

The event will feature remarks from Chief John Moon, a former Freedom House emergency medical technician and retired assistant chief of Pittsburgh EMS, who pioneered emergency response and community responder efforts in Pittsburgh as one of America’s first emergency medical technicians.

The national Expanding First Response Commission, launched last year by the CSG Justice Center with support from the Joyce Foundation, The Pew Charitable Trusts, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and Stand Together Trust, brought together a diverse group of leaders from across the country to shape the conversation on first response and offer recommendations for the advancement of community responder programs in jurisdictions across the nation.
