Creating Systemwide Change to Promote Recidivism-Reduction & Employment Readiness

The Integrated Reentry and Employment Strategies (IRES) framework synthesizes innovative strategies with the goal of reducing recidivism while increasing job readiness for people returning to communities after incarceration.

This fact sheet, developed by The Council of State Governments Justice Center and the National Reentry Resource Center, provides an overview of the project and discusses a recently released report on the three-year pilot project that tested the framework in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, and Palm Beach County, Florida, as well as other key learnings and insights for jurisdictions looking to improve their systems.
