Amund Tallaksen provides data analysis and visualization for multiple projects, including Justice Counts, an initiative to help policymakers make better decisions using public safety data. Before coming to the CSG Justice Center, Amund worked as a lecturer at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), where he taught several classes focused on drug policy and criminal justice. Amund has also worked in drug treatment in Norway and has volunteered at a needle exchange in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Amund received an MS in public policy and management from CMU’s Heinz College and a PhD in history from CMU.
