Anne Brody

Director of Public Policy and Research, The Council of State Governments – South

Anne Brody joined The Council of State Governments Southern Office (CSG South) in 2014 and currently serves as the director of public policy and research. In this role, she regularly publishes and speaks on myriad policy issues pertaining to energy, the environment, agriculture, rural development, and international relations and trade and provides strategic vision and guidance to the CSG South policy team. In addition to her policy expertise, Brody is passionate about supporting and elevating women in government. Prior to joining CSG South, she worked for The Carter Center—an international nongovernmental organization focused on resolving conflicts, advancing democracy, and preventing disease—where she had the profound honor of serving former U.S. President Jimmy Carter. Brody is also deeply engaged in her Atlanta community, serving on several organizations’ boards. She earned a BA in public relations and French from Belmont University and an MA in media studies from Georgia State University’s Center for International Media Education.
