Carrie Chapman leverages data to drive decision-making across the criminal justice system through the Justice Counts initiative. In this role, she supports criminal justice agencies through technical assistance, data analysis, and deliverables tailored to meet agency needs. Prior to joining the CSG Justice Center, Carrie worked at the Crime and Justice Institute, where she led data analyses and task force presentations to policymakers across the country as part of the Justice Reinvestment Initiative. Earlier in her career, Carrie served as an instructor with the University of Colorado Denver’s Master of Public Administration program and worked as an analyst with Colorado’s Division of Probation Services. Carrie holds a PhD in public affairs from the University of Colorado Denver and a BA in political science from the University of North Carolina at Asheville.
