Crystal Song
Policy Analyst, Corrections & Reentry
Crystal Song (she/her) works on the Economic Mobility team, primarily providing technical assistance to Second Chance Act grantees who are implementing reentry programs to improve education and employment outcomes for people leaving prisons and jails, as well as developing resources to advance knowledge in the field. She also collaborates with team members across the division on the Reentry 2030 initiative, policy research, grant writing and reporting, and communications. Previously, Crystal worked at a college-in-prison nonprofit organization, where she worked directly with students who were incarcerated toward capacity-building, development, and program implementation. Throughout her master’s program, Crystal was also a graduate teaching assistant for undergraduate public policy courses. She has a BA in law, societies, and justice from the University of Washington (UW) and an MPA from the UW Evans School of Public Policy and Governance.
