Kelly Loo Williams oversees technical assistance, outreach, and partnerships related to corrections and community partners to improve reentry success for families during incarceration and upon release. Previously, Kelly worked for a national nonprofit providing training and technical assistance to courts, criminal and juvenile justice systems, child welfare, substance use disorder treatment, and community-based agencies. She served as a subject matter expert across the nation on family treatment courts, family-centered approaches, family engagement and interventions, family-focused and trauma-informed care, evidence-based programs, stigma, performance measures and outcomes, data-driven decision-making, and cross-systems collaboration. Her passion for this work stems from her personal experience as a mother of a child in long-term recovery who experienced justice involvement because of his severe substance use disorder. Kelly has a BA in sociology from California State University Fullerton and a Master of Public Administration from California State University San Bernardino.
