Meredith Butler leads efforts for Stepping Up for Juvenile Justice in Kansas. She provides individualized technical assistance, training, and support to Kansas counties interested in implementing this initiative. Previously, Meredith was the project director of the 4-H Military Partnership Project at Kansas State University, where she ensured that military-connected youth, families, and service-branch program professionals worldwide had access to research-based, positive youth development opportunities. Meredith also served as the Kansas 8th Judicial District Community Corrections Director for 11 years. There, she provided leadership and oversight of intensive community-based probation programs for high-risk, high-need adult and juvenile offenders. She earned her BS in criminology from Kansas State University and her MLS in organizational leadership from Fort Hays State University.
