Michael Johnson (he/him) works on the economic mobility team as a policy analyst. He previously worked as a senior policy analyst for the DC Fiscal Policy Institute, where he provided research and strategic advocacy to improve economic supports for currently and formerly incarcerated individuals. Specifically, his work focused on reducing structural barriers for people in reentry and extractive policies such as jail and prison communication fees. Michael earned a BA from the University of Richmond and an MPP from the University of Chicago.
