Nicole Dumel 

Senior Policy Analyst, Behavioral Health 

Nicole Dumel provides training and technical assistance to grantees on projects at the intersection of behavioral health and law enforcement and supports ongoing CSG Justice Center projects for mental health and justice initiatives. Prior to joining the CSG Justice Center, Nicole was the reentry task force coordinator and program director in Rockland County, New York, focused on removing barriers for individuals returning home from incarceration through collaboration with community supervision and service providers and creating programs to increase the level of legitimate opportunities within local communities. Nicole also works as a consultant providing Cognitive Behavioral Interventions in the Rockland County Jail to focus on restructuring criminogenic thinking in people who are incarcerated. Nicole earned her BA in criminal justice from Thomas Edison State University. She received an Advanced Baccalaureate Certificate in criminal investigation and an MA in criminal justice specializing in criminology and deviance from John Jay College of New York.
