Nina Richtman

Nina Richtman provided technical assistance to jurisdictions expanding first response models to include alternatives to policing. Nina began her career as a technical scientist in agriculture but transitioned to the field of mental health in 2019. Prior to joining the CSG Justice Center, Nina worked at the National Alliance on Mental Illness as director of a task force on justice diversion. Nina is committed to amplifying the voices of people with lived experience by engaging in collaborative work to create solutions for those impacted by mental illness and trauma. Nina earned a BS in conservation biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MS in entomology and microbiology from Iowa State University.
