Saman provides training and technical assistance to Second Chance Act and Justice and Mental Health Collaboration Program grantees, with a focus on behavioral health, substance use disorder, reentry, and Medicaid. Prior to joining the CSG Justice Center, Saman oversaw health policy development and implementation assistance for a variety of government and nongovernmental clients at Mathematica. He also directed technical assistance to state governments by implementing health reforms to improve substance use disorder treatment for The Pew Charitable Trusts. Saman has an MSc in health policy, planning, and finance from the London School of Economics and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a BA in social studies from Harvard University.
