Deputy Research Program Director, Research
Seba Guzmán manages and contributes to projects designed to help policymakers tackle criminal justice system issues. Before joining the CSG Justice Center, he worked at the Vera Institute of Justice; was full-time faculty at Universidad Andres Bello, West Chester University of Pennsylvania, and SUNY-Purchase; and conducted applied research in Chile. For over 15 years, he has been conducting research and teaching about inequality and policy in multiple areas, including in the criminal justice and juvenile justice systems. Sebastián has been principal or co-principal investigator in several projects. He received a BA from Universidad Católica de Chile and an MA and PhD in sociology from The New School for Social Research.
