Takeesha White oversees program operations and manages and ensures effective communication across the Behavioral Health Division’s teams. Takeesha has more than 12 years of experience in public health education, mental health promotion, and behavioral health service delivery in national and international settings. Takeesha recently served as the acting assistant commissioner for the Bureau of Health Equity Capacity Building in the Division of the Center for Health Equity and Community Wellness at the NYC Department of Health. Takeesha has been an active participant in improving partnerships within the five boroughs to ensure health equity and healthier environments while naming racism as a root cause of health inequities and poor health outcomes.
