Face to Face: Kansas Governor Laura Kelly

As part of the Face to Face initiative, Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly visited three businesses in Leavenworth that provide employment opportunities to men serving their sentences at Lansing Correctional Facility. On December 11, 2019, the governor toured the businesses—Henke Manufacturing, Heatron, Inc., and Zepher Products, Inc.— and spoke with men from Lansing who were working onsite. Following the visit, Gov. Kelly participated in a roundtable discussion at Riverfront Community Center with employers from across the state who partner with the Kansas Department of Corrections to provide employment opportunities for people who are incarcerated.
