Working with Youth in the Juvenile Justice System

This webinar discusses the unique characteristics of youth with disabilities who are involved with the justice system and the implications of those characteristics when providing services within a secure care setting. It also provides an overview of the National Collaborative on Workforce and Disability for Youth’s Guideposts for Success framework for this population, which includes topics in education, career preparation and employment, youth development and leadership, family involvement, and more. In addition, examples of promising practices that align with the Guideposts are provided.
