Midge Christianson assists states to evaluate their criminal justice systems and develop policies and practices that lead to improved outcomes. Midge began her career working with youth involved in the justice system at a community-based residential treatment facility before transitioning to a probation/parole agent. Prior to joining the CSG Justice Center, she spent 24 years as the director of a multicounty community supervision agency in western Minnesota. She has been highly involved in state legislative work, providing guidance and testimony on numerous initiatives including the passage of Justice Reinvestment in Minnesota. She earned a BA in sociology/criminal justice from South Dakota State University and completed the Humphrey Policy Fellows Program at the University of Minnesota Center for the Study of Politics and Governance.
