Office Hours
As part of the Virtual Academy, CSG Justice Center staff provide remote research and analytics office hours for corrections analysts. Please join to ask questions on topics such as the following:
- Analysis of corrections data
- Specific code you cannot get to work
- Best practices in corrections data cleaning or quality
- Best practices in data presentation and visualization
- Corrections research on a specific topic
- Anything else you might need
Office hours will be hosted by the CSG Justice Center on Zoom every first and third Tuesday of the month at 3 p.m. ET. If you are interested in joining, you must be a registered member of the Community Forum where you may access the Zoom link.
We hope to be able to answer your questions or connect you with other analysts or research directors across the country who can!

State of the States: Criminal Justice and Behavioral Health Priorities in 2025
Governors emphasized a wide range of criminal justice and behavioral health initiatives in this year’s state-of-the-state addresses. From Alaska to Washington, governors across the U.S. highlighted significant progress in reducing crime rates, combating the opioid crisis, and expanding mental health services. Six States Commit to Improving Statewide Strategies to Address Youth Crime, Violence and Behavioral Health
The Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center has launched the Collaborating for Youth and Public Safety Initiative (CYPSI) in partnership with six states: California, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Rhode Island.
