Niara Boyd-Watson
Senior Policy Analyst, Behavioral Health
Niara Boyd-Watson provides training and technical assistance to Second Chance Act Improving Adult and Juvenile Crisis Stabilization and Community Reentry Program grantees. Before joining the CSG Justice Center, Niara worked in crisis response and stabilization with Wekiva Springs in Jacksonville, Florida, where she evaluated evidence-based interventions, assigned co-occurring clinical diagnoses, and trained new staff. She has also provided clinical therapy to adolescents and adults with co-occurring disorders, as well as evidence-based treatment to people participating in felony, drug, mental health, and veterans courts. She holds a BA in criminal justice from Savannah State University, a certification in child and adolescent psychology, and an MA in forensic psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
